Day 1: Hanoi – Cat Ba National Park by Jeep Tour (L/D)

Good Morning Cat Ba tour guide picks-up you at your hotel in Tam Coc – Ninh Binh or Hanoi Old Quarter.
Transfer by bus to Hai Phong – Dong Bai Harbor.
10:20 – 10:30
Arrive at Dong Bai Harbor (Hai Phong City).
Take the speedboat or ferry to Cat Ba Island.
11:00 – 11:30
Arrive on Cat Ba Island.
Bus takes you along Cat Ba National Road to Cat Ba Town.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Check in at hotel.
Afternoon itinerary

Pick up from your hotel by jeep.
Start the trip to the first destination.
Hospital Cave (Military Cave – Hang Quan Y)
- Located in Hai Son village, Tran Chau commune
- About 12 km from Cat Ba Town
- Around 20 minutes driving
- Jeep stops at the entrance
- Walk inside the underground military hospital used during the Vietnam War
- Three levels with old operating rooms, meeting rooms and living areas
- Visit time: 25–30 minutes
After that, continue by jeep to Cat Ba National Park.
Cat Ba National Park – Trekking
- The park covers more than half of Cat Ba Island
- Home to tropical forest, limestone mountains and rich biodiversity
- Trek through the forest trail
- Walk up to Ngu Lam Peak for panoramic view of Cat Ba Island
- Trekking time: about 2 hours
Continue driving through the middle of the island on the ocean view road.
This is one of the most beautiful roads on Cat Ba Island.
Flowers on both sides of the road.
Stop on the way for photos.
Driving time: about 1 hour

Transfer back to the lodge / hotel by jeep.

You can walk around town or enjoy a drink at a local bar.

Day 2: Lan Ha Bay – Ha Long Bay – Hanoi (L)

Breakfast at the resort.

Tour guide picks you up from the lodge.
Transfer to the harbor.
Get on the boat and start cruising in Lan Ha Bay.
Visit floating fishing villages.
See daily life of local fishermen.
Continue cruising and cross to Ha Long Bay.
See many limestone islands with different shapes and sizes.
Boat stops at Cam Lagoon for swimming.

Set menu lunch on the boat.

Continue cruising to Hang Ca area.
Kayaking through Dark Cave, Bat Cave and Bright Cave.
This area is quiet and less crowded.
After kayaking, boat goes to Three Peaches Beach (Ba Trai Dao).
Swimming, relaxing on the boat deck, taking photos.

In the afternoon, we return to the harbor and transfer back to Hanoi or Ninh Binh.

Arrive in Hanoi Old Quarter or Ninh Binh.

Can I start the tour from Ninh Binh?
Yes. We pick up guests from both Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Please tell us your hotel location when booking.
Is this tour hard or very active?
No. There is walking and kayaking, but nothing too difficult. Most guests can do it comfortably.
Is Lan Ha Bay crowded?
Compared to Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay is much quieter, especially in the kayaking areas.
Do I need kayaking experience?
No. The guide explains everything, and the water is calm.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes, swimwear, sunscreen, hat, and a small backpack.
Is this tour suitable for solo travelers?
Yes. Many of our guests join alone. The group is small and friendly.
