Arrive at Dong Bai Harbor and take a speed boat or ferry to Cat Ba Island.

Transfer by bus along the coastal road of Cat Ba Island to Cat Ba town. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
Afternoon – Trekking in Cat Ba National Park

Begin a light trekking trip to Butterfly Valley, located inside Cat Ba National Park. The walk takes about 40 minutes on an old local trail once used to carry fresh water.
